The 22nd Annual Holiday Boat Parade will come to Redondo Beach on December 14th. This event will be held in the Main Channel of the King Harbor. Both the King Harbor Boating Foundation and King Harbor Yacht Club will sponsor this event and it will start at 4:45pm.
The theme for this year is "Dive into the Season," and it's a tribute to the found of Body Glove, Bob Meistrell.
This event will include plenty of multicolored lights, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and yachts. It will certainly be an event to remember and it's perfect for the entire family. Along with the boats and lights, you can enjoy music from carolers throughout the evening.
Come out early to claim your spot to watch the parade. It will get started around 5:30pm and will work its way down the Main Channel of King Harbor.
This year will be a little different with a live Internet radio broadcast of the event, which is available on mobile devices. You can access this radio feed at: http://BoatParadeRadio.TheSouthBayShow.com.
The parade can be viewed from many different places along the channel and there's no cost to attend this event.
If you're children want to see Santa, you can let them meet him before the parade starts. He will be available at the Redondo Beach Pier, along with a free concert.
After spending a little time with Santa and enjoying the concert, you can settle in for the parade, as you enjoy all the amazing lights and festive costumes.
Businesses along the parade route will offer specials and all the proceeds will go to benefit three different area charities including the Sea Scout Ship 618, King Harbor Youth Foundation and a charity chosen by the Grand Marshall.
If you're looking for the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season, this parade is one of the most popular choices in Redondo Beach.
