Redondo Beach is known for many things and one of those things are the whales. The Pacific Ocean is full of these majestic creatures and you can spend time on a boat watching them. Voyager Whale Watching offers gray whale watch tours, nature cruises and more.
The Gray Whale Watching Excursion
The 65-foot "Voyager" vessel will take you out for a journey you won't soon forget. It departs every day at 10am and 1:30pm and the cruise lasts from 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours. You will be out with a guide searching for these amazing creatures on a double-decker boat. The tour will be narrated by a trained Naturalist, as you enjoy this amazing adventure.
Admission for this excursion is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and military and $15 for children 12 years of age and under. Group rates are available at $10 per person for groups of 25 or more.
The nature cruises are shorter than the whale watching excursion, but still promise a great adventures. These cruises depart at 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer and continue hourly until sunset. You will have the chance to enjoy dolphins, marine birds, sea lions and all types of local sea life. These are perfect for the entire family and last from 30 to 45 minutes.
No reservations are required for the Nature Cruises and the cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12 years of age and $8 for seniors and military. Children under 3 years of age ride free.
All cruises depart from 131 International Boardwalk between the Kincaid's Restaurant and the Fun Factory Arcade, during the summer. From December to April the whale watching excursion will depart from 233 North Harbor Drive.
