The Lakes at El Segundo is a public golf course owned by the city. It was opened in June of 1994 and provides a great place for golfers of all skill levels. Most nine-hole courses don't provide the quality experience of this course. It’s known as one of the best short courses in the country and many golfers love the practice facility.

Golf Classes and Lessons

If you want to improve your game, you can work with one of the PGA or LPGA teaching professionals at The Lakes. These professions have over 150 years of experience combined and provide everything you need to improve your golf game. Private lessons are offered by the half hour and the club offers many group lessons, clinics and junior camps.

Why Choose a Short Course?

The most neglected part of the amateur golfer's game is the short game. Playing a short 9-hole course provides the opportunity to work on this part of your game, while playing golf. The many bunkers, beautiful greens and shorter holes, make it easy to increase your accuracy.

Along with improving your game, you can work on your fitness with a Golf Fitness package offered by PGA Professional Scott Morgan. This clinic is offered every month and it's free for golfers to attend.

Rates and Hours

Rates for golf change with the season, but always remain affordable. Currently the weekday rate is $15 and the weekend rate is $18. Juniors play for $11 during the week and $15 on weekends. Seniors receive a special $12 rate during the week, as well. El Segundo residents can play for a discounted rate of $10 during the week and $12 on weekends.

Monthly passes are available for residents for $50 with a $10 discount for seniors. Punch Passes are also available for $35, which includes five rounds of golf and a small bucket of balls. Non-residents can get a monthly pass for $75.

The range provides two levels of tee area with 58 stalls and a bucket of balls ranges from $6 to $10, depending on the size.

The Lakes at El Segundo opens daily at 6am and stays open until 11pm.
