Redondo Beach often holds events outside, such as fishing, volleyball and a number of other choices. Two upcoming events will provide a great opportunity to spend time outside with the entire family. Whether you need a day with your son or daughter, here's the perfect opportunity.
Shore Fishing at Dockweiler Beach
This is a free event and will be held on October 19th, starting at 9am. The Dockweiler Youth Center will be the host and the event will happen on the shores of Dockweiler Beach. This event will provide a free introductory class in shore fishing, along with fishing poles and bait, which are also free. Enjoy catching corbina, halibut, leopard shark, surfperch and croaker off the shore.
Bring the entire family and enjoy the class for just $2 to park the car. All ages are welcome and those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. If you're over 16, you need to bring a valid California fishing license, which can be purchased online at, http://www.dfg.ca.gov, or at Marina de Rey Sportfishing on Fiji Way.
If you can’t make it on the 19th of October, another class will be held on the 26th of October.
